Next Hula Hooping Event
I am hoping to raise some more Autism Awareness in Brighton Next Saturday afternoon in front of the Main Pier whilst the food and drink festival is going on. I am also hoping to get in an hour during the week in Bournemouth where I will do it at the Bottom of Clifton Hill.
Hula Hooping & World Autism Awareness Day
I had an idea I might have a problem with the authorities in Convent Garden London. The police didn't mind but the City of Westminster did and after around 80 minutes of Hooping I was moved on. Nevertheless I managed to chat to one or two people who didn't know what Autism was but got interest from two kids who helped distribute leaflets about www.lifebeyondlabels.com after getting permission from their parents to talk further with me because it was for a great cause. Not surprisingly I was feeling quite exhausted and I had to put up with the pranks of some adults who purposely pushed the hoop off me and ran away. Foolish immaturity.
I am grateful to the few who didn't know what Autism was and listened to what I had to say as well as having a laugh with others who wanted to be watched by their friends imitating my hooping.
I am looking forward to making this Autism Awareness month a month where I will be performing other autism events to raise more awareness to the need for more people to become supportive for those who on the autism spectrum.
